Now, I myself haven't been involved in any sort of a romantic relationship since my girlfriend Kelly and I broke up in first grade--I was afraid I'd get cooties if I kissed her on the lips, y'see. But even after 40 years of watching other people go in and out of relationships, I only have the vaguest idea about the actual mechanics of getting together and breaking apart.
So I can only imagine how awful it must be to go through something like I'm depicting in this particular strip: each party so mad at the other that further contact seems the remotest of possibilities. I'm pretty sure it would be horrible, though, so I figured it'd do for our Hallowe'en Strip this particular year...
