Now, I've never read Dr. Wertham's classic Seduction of the Innocent, but I'm led to believe that he has some concerns about what he calls the "injury to the eye motif" in comics. So in one way, I feel I'm doing my part to spread juvenile delinquency when I draw something like this.
On the other hand, though, well, I think it was Anton Chekhov who said, "If a squirrel picks up a stick in Act I, he'd better jab it into somebody's eye before the story's over." Or words to that effect...
