It may seem strange to say, but these are the pages I've been waiting to draw since I put this story together last month. 'Cause I've been to this place--heck, anyone who's done any cross-country driving west of, say, Missouri, has been to this place. The middle of nowhere, not even a Stuckey's within sight, and suddenly there's a monument, or a pull-out along the road with some sort of plaque set up. Or, in this case, a visitor's center.
