I've never had much luck with futons, but the few that I've managed to settle into without immediately sliding off onto the floor have made me think that they'd be perfect furniture for snakes. And since this is, I believe, the first time we've ever been in Howlett's sitting room, this is the first time we've seen his futon.
As for Jolene's plan, all I can say is: what could possibly go wrong?
