Grace is yet another former adversary--working for gangsters, she kidnapped Howlett and Doc back in the middle of our 44th storyline, "The Sting." Alban, though, he's been everyone's friend since he rescued Doc and Mrs. Teasdale way back near the beginning of our 8th storyline, "Under Hill."
