Part Three's title came from the inestimable Dan Coble. It fit right into my fiendish plans 'cause I wanted Part Three to show Tharka and Gana out working a case after their encounter with the Mysterious Hooded Figure in Part Two: "The Corner Office", and one of the things a carbuncle is, as any Sherlock Holmes fan knows, is a sort of gem. So out came the following.
I'd also like to mention that the comic Dan did using this title is one of the finest things I've ever seen and I really wish I'd kept the files of it. I should pester him till he sends it to me again. Yes...
