When I decided that this chapter would be called "Toccata & Fugue," I started trying to imagine what a fugue would look like when drawn as a comic. 'Cause your average musical fugue is all about lines of parallel melody weaving and interweaving in certain prescribed ways. I'm still not quite sure how to do it, but I've settled on switching back and forth between our four plotlines the way I did all this week. We'll see how that works out.
