Mrs. Teasdale is determined not only to reconcile with her estranged parents but also to introduce them to her till-recently lost daughter. So on Wednesday, September 21st, 2005, they make plans to attend the traditional Autumnal Equinox Festival at the Euryatep compound. Over the next two days, though, they end up traveling a good bit further afield than that.

On Wednesday, September 21st, 2005, while Mrs. Teasdale is arranging the previous storyline, Doc and Alice are putting together a dinner so their respective sets of parents can meet. Things escalate from there into riots and explosions, and by the time Wednesday, October 5th, 2005, rolls around, Alice is able to sit down to write it all out from the beginning for her column in the Gadsden Gazette.
